We don’t strike our chest during Avinu Malkeinu Chatanu Lifanechah on Rosh Hashanah like we do on Yom Kippur etc. because we don’t have confessions on Rosh Hashanah. 

We say the 13 Attributes of Mercy when we remove the Sefer Torah from the Ahron/Ark.
